Courage…or Coward? O LORD!

Courage(ous) = mental or moral strength

Coward = excessively afraid of danger or pain

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 10:25 (NIV) Joshua said to them, “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Be strong and courageous. This is what the Lord will do to all the enemies you are going to fight.”

Hebrews 3:6 (NIV) But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our courage and the hope in which we glory.

Thank You, O God!  You command us to be COURAGEOUS.  And do NOT fear or be afraid, which means no need to be a coward.  You said:

Be on your guard

Stand firm in the faith

Be courageous

Be strong

WHY?

God will never leave you nor forsake you

I (God) swore to their ancestors

The Lord will do to all your enemies

May the Lord be with those who do well

A greater power with us than with him

“It is I” (Jesus)

These men had been with Jesus

You must also testify

Not one of you will be lost

Christ will be exalted

May we hold firmly to our courage.  It is The Hope in which we Glory!

In Jesus name. Amen
