Amplify. Magnify. Glorify. O LORD!

Daniel 11:36 [The King Who Exalts Himself ] “The king will do as he pleases. He will exalt and magnify himself above every god and will say unheard-of things against the God of gods. He will be successful until the time of wrath is completed, for what has been determined must take place.

Lord, let us magnify and exalt YOU, not our works or ourselves.

Isaiah 42:12 Let the whole world glorify the Lord; let it sing his praise.

Luke 2:20 The shepherds went back to their flocks, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen. It was just as the angel had told them.

Amplify. That word means make it bigger, larger, more powerful. Kinda like a cheerleader holding a megaphone to shout to the crowd. Is there anything on YOUR heart that you want to amplify, to make bigger, larger, more powerful in your life as we enter 2015?

The name of Jesus is on my heart to amplify. Make HIS name known. Amplify the name of Jesus so He is bigger, larger and more powerful in my life in 2015.  I sing His praise!

Magnify. Intensify, extol, glorify is what magnify means. Have you held a magnifying glass with a bright ray of sunlight shining onto a leaf…until it smokes and burst into flames? Magnification intensifies the heat of the sun until combustion occurs.

Hummm.  What if…

We magnify Jesus, THE SON, until He creates a combustion that lights the fire of God in us?

Yes Lord! Let us praise Your name for all we have seen, Lord. Fire us UP for Your purposes Lord.

Glorify. Means to elevate, promote and exalt. In Science Fair did you ever promote a project and put it on a pedestal—like that volcano that erupts we all seem to make at some point? Only to have the works of your hands topple over and crash into a heap when bumped into?

Or elevate an athlete as a role model only for their human frailties to undermine their athletic strengths as they fall from grace?

Father God, You alone are holy, worthy, and to be praised. We glorify Your Name, Lord God Almighty. You alone are the constant that cannot be felled by human frailties or fall from grace…You ARE strength and grace, for each one of us, Your children.

Let us not focus on the outcome of what You have placed in our hands to do and claim it as our own works, Father. Let us glorify You, our God, and Your works in and through us, O Lord.

Thank You, Lord, as we amplify, magnify and glorify Your holy name. We glorify and praise You, God, that Your Word, Jesus, is in our lives as You work in and through each one of us, Your willing sons and daughters.

John 8:54 Jesus answered, “If I want glory for myself, it doesn’t count. But it is my Father who will glorify me. You say, ‘He is our God,’

Revelation 15:4 Who will not fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before you, for your righteous deeds have been revealed.”
